Chat-first event communication: what it is and why it works

Chat-first means all communication around your event runs through one chat. What that involves, why it suits attendees and how Robin applies it.

What is chat-first

Chat-first is an approach where all communication around an event runs through one chat. Instead of searching through menus and separate screens, the attendee asks a question and gets an answer.

Why it works

A chat matches how people already communicate:

  • Familiar: attendees chat every day, no explanation needed.
  • Direct: you ask what you want to know, in plain language.
  • One place: questions, advice and interaction live in the same environment.
  • Low threshold: in the browser via a QR code, without an app download.

How Robin applies chat-first

Robin lives in one chat environment inside the PresentersWall mobile event hub. In that chat Robin answers practical questions, gives personal advice on workshops and networking, and attendees join polls, Q&A and quizzes.

Chat-first does not mean the rest disappears: the event hub also offers personalised programs, evaluations, ContentWalls and networking chat.
